Until I see a viable, credible alternative with the requisite legal, constitutional and political experience who has served the state emerge I will be voting for President Higgins over the current scrapings the bottom of the barrel currently being discussed / showing interest
Good for you. And may that snouter with his multiple pensions never get elected and may Labour be damned to oblivion for betraying and abandoning its supporters.

Higgins was possibly the best con-artist in years, Dee Forbes running RTE has to be right up their with her libtard agenda while demanding more money from people that have nothing to do with her crap,, extortion by government proxy is probably the best way to describe another loser that lives off the taxpayer while delivering utter crap,,

Sack the pair of them and get with the real world, End this Presidency crap and scrap RTE , it is a D4 beardy socialist lie,, just look at all the so called socialists living in D4 ?? it is like a BBC wannabe ,,

Higgins would never have been elected only for the Front Line Fake Tweet News delivered by RTE, Putin would be proud of the job they did that night, RTE even paid Gallagher tens of thousands of taxpayers euros to settle the case,, (so they did not contest his question about their activities in open Court)

RTE rigs elections, it rigs everything, the government in power control RTE , there is NO journalism left in this Country,, if I had the money I would be firing off FOI's everywhere and publishing them, putting ofrward facts, the people that made the millions, the people that control what we see and hear and where they live and what ideology they follow,, it;s tough but we really need to see who these fookers are,,, before we listen to them,,

In what way is Higgins not fulfilling the role of President?
Him and his Taoiseach have any interest but the Irish interest when overseeing the legal and political system

I like Higgins and yet I think he's getting too old for a second term if elected, plus of course his 1 term pledge. If a credible candidate emerges, they'll get my vote.

Freeman or decent SF'er. When campaign comes around, I'll have a good look at both.
Freeman could actually win. Unlike Lying Mickey, she's actually helped people rather than just waffled about it. She also handled that question about signing legislation quite well even though she's pro-life. I'd guess the Labourites are worried about her as she's a credible candidate. They'll be doing their best to try to bring up the pro-life angle.

I agree with what you say ted08 but I am prepared to overlook his age - there is no age limit on the office (maybe there should) and if he is fit and healthy enough I see no issue with it . As for the 1 term pledge - people are allowed to change their mind - who hasn't. But at the minute he is getting my vote because none of the candidates mentioned thus far are creditable - it is the desperate scrapping on the non entity barrel

I seen the RTe State propaganda machine at work already, RTE Liars are running some ad about some horse-jumping show coming up and explicitly showed Higgins in the crowd clapping (and this during an election cycle? ) they just cannot help themselves lie to the people and push their little Patsy on the airwaves,, they should be very careful about promoting any one over another no matter their standing but these liars know no other way.

There can be no forging this little moron for signing a book of condolences for a murdering dictator that would not allow free elections in Cuba for almost 50 years,, Higgins is and always was a disgraceful little chancer that could never come up with one idea in his entire life that he did not plagiarize off some crummy third rate socialist leaflet,

Cannot wait to see the back of this clown that has fooled so many with the help of the Beardy liars in RTE that he actually has a solution or anything intelligent to say,,

Mickey is that most comfortable of creatures.
A middle class lefty.
And so are the good folks of RTE.
No chance of singing from the wrong secular hymn book there.
