Let's be honest,

The UK is our closest trading partner who has been delivered a clear mandate by the citizens of the UK, GET BREXIT DONE.

Boris has such a strong majority he can do 1 of 2 things, Leave in January and take his time getting the right trade deal, or leave in January, go to war with the EU and do a hard Brexit at the end of 2020.

We do not know where Boris stands long term but we do know in the short term the UK will leave the EU next month.

Where does this leave not just Leo and Fine Gael, but the likes of SF, and Fianna Fail must now have a long hard think about Ireland's own future.

Also, one thing that hasn't been mentioned much about the UK election, We have seen the destruction of liberal and socialists policies, A huge rise in nationalism, especially in working-class areas. This should encourage Irish nationalists, political parties like the National Party must now do exactly what Farage has done in the UK and appeal to those same working-class voters throughout Ireland, scare the shit out of the main Irish parties that one of them, (likely FF) start to move more to the right and become more nationalist themselves.

Location
By the Gulag wall.
I expect Bozo will do a pretty craven deal with the EU so in reality there won't be any borders or tariffs. Something like the Swiss have. That kind of set up won't have any negative effect on Ireland - or very little anyway. There might be some currency volatility that will make deals here more difficult to price, but that's about it.

The sense from the Irish social media scene is total incredulity that the UK could vote this way. There seems to be no awareness of the changing winds in the world. But i suppose this was always the way of the Irish. 20 years behind the curve. I suspect that the reaction of the Irish will be to cling desperately to their liberal rock, as once they clung to their catholic rock. But they'll get there eventually. But it's the damage the country sustains in the meantime.

I think Boris may go full-on Britannia with the EU, he is strong as fuck now he has a majority, He will do some FTA with Trump and it was be all nationalism.

The EU must be cacking themselves this morning but I think their Stubenous will see them failing to agree on a deal with the UK at the behest of Ireland who will be crippled.

The only hope for Ireland is the complete rejection of FG/FF at the Ballot box.
FG/FF do not serve the Irish peoples interests, they actively work against the Irish people interests for their Globalist sponsors agenda.
After 100 years of alternate power ,the corruption runs deep and can only be addressed by removal of both Parties from Irelands political scene.
We can then address the corruption in our Judiciary, Garda, Civil Service , TUSLA and Corporations who have been the supporters and beneficiaries of this criminality.
Vote National Party to save Ireland from destruction.

Before we vote National Party we actually need to have
1. National Party Candidates TO VOTE FOR acids the Island. ( I see no evidence of this happening for the next GE)
2. A Close the Borders Manifesto from NP

The harder the Brexit, the more likelihood there will be trouble with Scotland's independence push. Therefore I dont think Boris will go all out on Brexit so it will end up some mild version of it.

Why close the borders when you can just control them properly and bring in people who can benefit the country and not those just here to live off benefits.

You think Boris cares about that? Chances are he will call an NI referendum.

Come to think if it, what does a trade deal have to do with the GFA?

The National Party have set up Cumanns in most Counties and Towns/Cities in Ireland including N, Ireland. They have been preparing for the General Election ,which is expected in May and have been canvasing steadily. Candidates are ready to stand when the time arrives.
Their names are not released because of the expected harassment and attacks by Antifa types, which is a constant problem for the NP as is disruptive entryism.
The National Party are recognised as a real danger to FG/FF domination and are regularly demonised and have been de-platformed by RTE.
This has forced them into organising locally, without a nationwide outlet ,apart from their U-tube channel.
They have not contested the Euros or the recent Bye -Elections. They see the EU Parliament as a toothless talking shop of well paid troughers, that will never upset the gravy train. They have not contested the recent bye-election s but are conserving their limited finances for the Big One.
They seek power in Ireland. Only with Political power can you make major change and Ireland needs major changes to cut the cancer that is the FG/FF Fascist Regime.
