Blog When we were poor Ireland 1980 - 1994?

An interesting post thread created here When we were Poor : Ireland 1980 - 1994 is being deliberately trolled unfortunately.

Some great posts are being ignored and instead the thread is being trolled to try to discuss religion instead.

Please feel free to carry on a troll free discussion about whether or not Ireland 1980 - 1994 was poor.

Religion is a part of that ireland 80-94. Social changes within that whole period and deep scaring revelations of a particular religion that came to light.

Be a bit like trying to have a discussion on the history of socialising in Ireland without bringing alcohol into it.:)

another fact of poverty ireland.....you could buy a castle in Foxrock/Mount Merrion/Donnybrook for buttons.

or an ex council flat in a rough part of London for stupid big money. With drug dealers and pitbulls all around.

It means being able to discuss a topic without trolls and without attempts to derail.

Surely a very large part of what engendered our economic travails stemmed from attitudes related to the pervasive influence of a certain flavour of Catholicism in the country. E.g.

If you wish to discuss religion, discuss it on the other thread.
