I note there is this thing called Brannans ham stocked in these places.

Its like some pseudo fake Irish brand with a weird Irish-ish name.

Their sausages are only 57% meat according to one article i read.

What the hell is this garbage? I refuse to partake.

Do we all need to just go to the local butcher?, i think so.

Shopping local is much to be preferred. But, sadly, Irish people are now paying such insanely high rents and mortgages that they are forced to eat the cheapest food they can find.

I find Dunnes the best. Lidl and Aldi are good for things like firelighters but their food isn't great.

MANY IRISH sausages are only 45% pork/meat. Look at your ingredient list before you start slagging off Lidl/Aldi, they are better than many...

I always avoid Lidl Deluxe range in everything. Fancy name, fancy wrapping, but if ever there was a misnomer...

Aldi is doing well here in UK plc. Although there aren't a shortage of pesevengi's like myself filling their trolleys in the place, the car park has plenty of expensive cars parked up. I have to feed 5 children and can easily save £50 per week shopping there compared to Tesco bastards. Some of the cuts of meat look like condemned stuff suitable for pet food, but on the whole I can't knock the gaff.
