Fancy a frolic with your sister? Or your brother? Or mother too? Soon, you won't have to feel disgust at the thought, as the Varadkar Régime is now looking into making the whole thing perfectly legal.

“The commission will also look at the law on incest, which criminalises vaginal sexual intercourse between blood relatives.

Consenting intercourse between an adult brother and sister, even if there is no risk of pregnancy, is a crime. “One might question if such conduct should be criminal.””

And before any silly person suggests that this is "Cultural Marxism," it isn't. It's pure Capitalist Consumerism. Consumer Choice comes before all else. You want to murder your baby? Sure, that's your choice. You want to shag your granny? Who could say anything against it? It's your choice - as long as the old dear is game for it.

What shall we call it then, legalising Moslem marriage? :)

Hmmm...are you sure that McGuirk isn't having a giraffe? I found the IT article and the reference to incest is in paragraph 13.

Can't see this law being rescinded; however, there's a compelling argument for decriminalising it. The constitution implies that marriage is a legal union founded on love. So, if two people love each other, regardless of their sex or relations, why would you begrudge them the right to marry?

Many people did say this during the sodomite marriage referendum. If marriage is no longer about sexual reproduction, and only about love, then absolutely anyone can marry anyone else. In fact, love is not even a prerequisite. All that's needed is Consumer Choice.

Of course, such observations were dismissed as scare mongering.

It's implicitly endorsed in the constitution.

All that's needed is a powerful lobby group to change the law.
