The Jewish mayor of Charlottesville and his anti-white, African-American deputy decided it would be a good idea to remove the statue of General Lee from Emancipation Park (formally Lee Park).
In response, a loose collection of people, largely under the banner of the Alt-Right have decided to hold a rally there, on Saturday 12th of August.
The city council were unable to get the rally shut down or moved to another park using a heckler's veto. Air BNB tried to block attendees from using its service for accommodation but the rally is going ahead.
A large crowd is expected and perhaps an even larger counter protest.
