This?
Roberto Giuliani, the director of the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, one of the oldest music institutes in the world, was criticised by colleagues on Wednesday after telling students from China, Japan and South Korea not to come to class until after a doctor had visited their homes to ensure they have not contracted the virus.

He cannot not have realised there are people so stupid out there that they would take his various pronouncements at face value. Even on this forum there are many such idiots testament to that.

While caution was necessary initially, it has become evident that Covid19 is just a bizarre case of global mass hysteria.

President Trump called it about right and the idiot medical establishment are just trying to save face.

Hopefully that is all there is to it, but it seems to have developed a life of its own and I don't doubt that there are vested interests looking to exploit the panic in a bid to further their own objectives.

Of course. But if there is a real fire, you hit the alarm, which starts an evacuation, and gets the authorities going, to save lives. He did nothing like that, and worked against it.
He basically blocked the fire brigade getting into a burning building. Well, it's on him.
Nonsense. If he had've hit the alarm pandemonium would've ensued.

The Hippy above explains it well.

There is a middle ground to be had. Trump pretty much said dont worry about it.

He didnt have to tell people to get into their doomsday bunkers or anything.

He could have said the virus is dangerous protect yourself etc...

Really?
Where?
In the US?
Cos in march European countries figured it out and saved countless lives.

Perhaps it is true for America, where everyone seems ready to retreat into bunkers.

Ms Charlotte that's what he pretty much did.

A2, Spain, UK, Belgium and Italy all have a higher death rate than the US.

Ie pretty much like most other countries. Trump treated his population like morons. Half of the US are not that stupid. He just had to explain the situation in crayon to his own supporters. They are the most at risk.

I never believed this idea of Trump as a fascist or dictator. He's too stupid. How do you kill your own supporters? Its the lazy voting for lazy.

It's crazy. I feel sorry for all involved.
