Oh you have a grand armoury of little memes to call on, don't you, "Not PC".

You know, if you people on here were adequately educated, you would be familiar with how "jokes" help normalize unpalatable ideas. - How it helps hatreds become more mainstream, and makes the masses comfortable with the ideas of a rising core ignorant scum.

"Jokes" have always been a way in which propaganda and prejudice inveigle themselves out of niche groups like you have on here and into mainstream society. - Think for example of Der Stürmer, the newspaper that played an important role in spreading antisemitism among the German population. - It used antisemitic caricatures, racist cartoons and memes to dehumanize Jews and slowly spread antisemitism among its core readership of the young, poor and poorly educated.

As Hitler said about it, “One must never forget the services rendered by the Stürmer ... Now that Jews are known for what they are, nobody any longer thinks that Streicher [the editor of the paper] libelled them.”

Hatred likes to camouflage itself in jokes, memes, cartoons. Nothing is serious; everything is a joke.

Another one triggered...
Oh, you've "triggered" someone, have you?

Finally, you feel like you have power over others, is that it, little man?

But do you really think that the families of the 73 dead, and of the many badly injured, will be forced to listen to your gloating and "joking"?

I can tell you that little racist ignorant twerps like you will not prevail in what you are engaged in.

Disgusting bad taste.

But to arrest someone for that? We are turning western countries into totalitarian states.

The stunt was in bad taste but arresting the individuals involved is an overreaction.Let's not forget that every July our friends in Belfast take part in an orgy of hatred aimed at Catholics: Signs saying 'Kill all Catholics' sitting atop bonfires for example. If you are going to arrest people for tasteless "jokes" then at least be consistent. (Although I would rather these people just be ignored, and not given the attention they crave).

Allow me if I may please to amend your post as follows?

Unelected EU elites are turning EU countries into Nazi totalitarian states.

Britain is still a member of the EU and the Nazis first thing they did on coming to power was to imprison anybody who objected even mildly to their policies.

Is it any wonder the British want out of the EU and decided to leave?

The same is happening in Ireland where a chap like Casey makes a few critical broadly correct remarks about travellers and he is demonised by the state run media and vested interests in the status quo.

What would happen I wonder if somebody burns an effigy of a travellers caravan at a private party in their Dublin back garden?
