Lighting a coal fire in the morning.
Hot water bottles for the bed at night.
With Carbon tax this could become the norm again as people struggle with heating their homes.

taking the mickey out of someone ( you wouldnt do it today in case you get stabbed or you cause a suicide!) . Treading on eggshells these days no real craic anymore a lot of fear and loathing and unhappiness! a wave of sadness and mistrust has moved over our little island.

Not having to worry about every friggin little bill that comes in, Property tax included.

Public toilets and free drinking water fonts in every park, playground, street corner.
I actually remember an RTE report about the first bottled water company opening in Ireland. and everyone laughed at the idea of it
