Journalistic objectivity is a considerable notion within the discussion of journalistic professionalism. Journalistic objectivity may refer to fairness, disinterestedness, factuality, and nonpartisanship, but most often encompasses all of these qualities. Guess you fail Conor.

The state of Irish Journalism

Irish Journalism is at an all-time low, the press commonly referred to as the gutter press are no longer adhering to their ethical standards and code of conduct as subscribed within the quote above. Ireland is not unique in this, all over the world, the press which is mostly controlled by a select few, are complicit in coverups, government agendas, fake news, and other character traits that do not adhere to good journalistic values and morals. Like the world, Ireland does seem to still have some Journalists who rise above the parapets and make a stand often at the expense of their career. Gemma O Doherty, Nial Boylan are just some of the Journalists who have continued to fight for justice or do the right thing.

Sadly Ireland seems to have more of the worst types of Journalism than good, this thread is to highlight bad Journalism.

Conor Gallagher of the Irish Times recently posted this tweet.

Followed up by an attack on parents and concerned citizens who were at the protest against state pedophilia and perverted sex ed classes in our schools.

Previously it appears Conor supports those politicians who have come under the spotlight, Would this have anything to do with the public no longer needing papers like the Irish Times for the news when we can share and look at evidence ourself and come to our own conclusions without having Fake News shoveled down our throats?

Connor Gallagher seems confused also, he sees this as the Irish family with his retweet.

It seems Connor supports plantation and the replacement of the Irish people.

I think it's fair to say Connor Gallagher is far from being a journalist who looks at both sides of the argument.

He seems very upset about the "Right" as he sees it.

Interesting reading down from his tweet, they're worried about the turnout yesterday.

Justine McCarthy isn't a journalist. Shes a polemicist.

There are very very few journalists who go against whatever the prevailing sentiment is in a given field.

One of the few journalists anywhere who reported the facts is sports journalist David Walsh. He stuck to the facts despite being ostracised by the majority of other journalists, despite being sued/threatened, despite intimidation, despite offers to be "paid off"

Walsh is the only journalist who possesses integrity.
