I'll bet he WASN'T a Traditional Priest.

He's an old fellow and seems pretty traditional. Of course there were fantastic Patriot Priests all down the years, such as An tAthair Mícheál Ó Flannagáin, Uachtarán Shinn Féin 1933-35, but these noble priests were always up against a corrupt and Anglophile hierarchy, who did not believe in the Irish nation.

Wow......Dis-couraging!

Wrong thread I know, but do the Latin Masses seem well attended in Ireland, as far as you know?

Mea culpa a chara, I misunderstood you. No, he says mass in English. I doubt if he has much Latin.

No, not at all, I should have phrased it better, I guess I kinda meant Traditional (Latin) or conservative N.O.. but do the Latin masses seem popular?

Not in Ireland anyway. I think there's one or two churches in Dublin that has mass in Latin every Sunday - there used to be anyway. I remember listening to a service on Raidió na Gaeltachta which was in Latin and Irish. A very lovely service.

There was a post on politics.ie suggesting an online/social media petition for a Referendum on Mass Immigration. Would it do any good would it be worth a try ?

I think we still have enough native Irish to carry such a Referendum for the moment anyway.

I don't know how old you are, (if you remember the Pre vatican2 church)....but I think, that so much of what is going on, is connected to a spiritual crisis. The Church has been practically turned upside/down in the years after the council. The Church which was once a bulwark against communism, even socialism.... is not. Transgenderism, anarchism. etc., etc., ... aye carummba!
Whatever happened to "The Faith is Europe and Europe is the Faith"....?

I wonder about that. How many of the middle classes now have at least one house or flat that they rent out to immigrants, and see this as a sort of pension fund. And then you have all those small business people who have a couple of immigrants on minimum wage. Not to mention all the Fake Lefties and Southern Unionists who hate Ireland and everything Irish.

I think the Church backed the wrong horse when it backed Capitalism over Communism. Capitalism has turned out to be a far more deadly enemy.

A referendum restricting immigration would pass easily.

The regime would sooner slit their throats than grant one on that subject.

If you ask anyone outside of Antifa \ Trot lunatics, they will tell you they are for restricting immigration. But what "restricting" means will differ greatly. We had a thread here a while ago where the Irish Farmers Association was lobbying for more visas to be granted to non-EU labour. The same ones will tell you that are in favour of restricted immigration, i.e. restricted to the cheap labour that they in particular want.

'The church has been practically turned upside/down', ........yr words...,
& here's why:
the Vatican (a sovereign state, not part of Italy), it's banks are 'Owned' by Talmud Jews. They are at the Belly of Rome.
The 'Talmud' is a book of anti-christian bile, of hate, perversion, where anything goes..... (It is not the 'Torah', given to the jews (by Moses) that they were warned to obey, & preserve, & not alter one word).
Later, after Moses, Jesus angered them by objecting to this distortion of the 'Torah', so the Talmudic jews demanded his Crucifixion.
Today, the majority of jews & those in Israel follow the Talmud. They are not jews.

The Vatican has long since been 'infiltrated' at the highest level, via scandals, pedophilia, bribes, to destroy & undermine Christianity, & turn people away from Christ.
U can see the infiltration is complete, with their mockery of Christ all over the Vatican, & a 'reptilian' Jesus, in 'the Resurrection', stating to Journalists (!) that it was
'Jesus rising from the crater of a Nuclear bomb'..................................
