Blog The Green Wave: Washing away all common sense?

  • Moderator

We have been immersed in propaganda about Man made or Anthropogenic Climate Change ever since that asshole Al Gore
conned us all with his famous hockey stick graph and made millions as a result from his stupid film "an inconvenient truth"

This propaganda about AGW/ACC has been especially targetted at children in schools.
Now that generation have come of age and are making their views felt politically.

By now we've all heard the media crowing about the new political "green wave" across Europe
We've experienced it here too in the form of the election of Oil share owning hypocrite Ciaran Cuffe and friends
Just this week Prime time had a farcical debate betweena zealot green party member and Michael Healy Rae

Now I think it is clear that taxing the very poorest in society on basic items with carbon taxes and undermining sustainable agriculture in Ireland, in the belief that these actions will somehow help bring about a change in the earth's climate is complete ideological nonsense.

The EU is of course driving this nonsense agenda by imposing huge fines for greenhouse gas emissions here.

Anyone with two braincells can look at our relatively tiny population and then look at a globe or google earth and realise that we are just a speck on the surface of the planet and anything we do is completely insignificant in bringing about a change in the earth's climate and that all we will succeed in doing is to cripple our own agricultural sector and our own economy to the market advantage of other European countries.

In fact, though the climate itself may be measurably changing, there is still debate whether it is the actions of human beings that are largely driving this process as opposed to just the natural cycles of the sun.

Yet in the recent election, I have no doubt that naive people voted for these green charlatans, in the misguided belief that these greenwash policies will ensure that they will experience less freak weather in the future if carbon taxes and other measures were to be enacted as the greens want.
They won't. And it's just nonsense to think they possibly could.

Now there is clear evidence that mankind is polluting the earth with waste and plastics on a grand scale and this certainly needs to be tackled and I would be fully behind common sense initiatives that reduce such actual pollution. But this obsession with man made climate change and the belief that taxing poor people and undermining our fragile economy by green zealots will somehow save the planet is quite troubling. And sadly this religion of ACC seems to be the new Green wave's major focus, rather than tackling more traditional concrete issues like environmental pollution and widespread pesticide and GMO use in our food systems etc.

For example many greens advocate dubious policies that will push us to buy new electric cars with batteries that cost thousands and need replacing after just a few years instead of maintaining and keeping older cars on the road as long as we can.

Production of these new cars and batteries is not really half as green as they claim when you examine the full cycle from production to destruction. And forcing mass take up of new cars leading to increased manufacturing and mining etc is NOT really a green policy. It is greenwash that just helps flagging auto manufacturers keep their profits up. Many such green party policies fall apart under rigorous scrutiny.

Is there no end to the gullibility of the electorate, the naivete of our brainwashed youth, the hypocrisy of the greens,
and what headaches will this new "green wave" lead to in Ireland?

I'm all for being more careful about how we use oil, and we shouldn't be covering the planet in concrete and steel and plastic. But the whole Green Agenda is just made for sociopaths to latch onto. A friend of mine was in the Green Party (during his time of innocence), and he assures me that Eamon Ryan is a total sociopath to has nothing but contempt for genuine Environmentalists. He even referred to people objecting to having Ireland covered in these wind turbines as "mental." Ryan cares about nothing but his personal power and being the center of attention. He actually has no opinions of his own. He just latches on to whatever idea is popular at the moment. And he's far from alone in that party. And look at how shit companies like McDonalds and Coca Cola are latching on to Green propaganda - anything with the word "Green" sells these days.

I'm actually very environmentally conscious,
but IMHO the whole Anthropogenic global warming thing is simply a corporate marketting scam
and a government power grab. Governments get to tax the air we breathe and corporations get to sell lots of new products
but they don't have to change their systematic raping and (actual) polluting of the planet or get penalised for it to any great degree.

Very little actual scientific discussion of this AGW for something that is being used as the rationale
for such sweeping changes to our lives. It's just an article of faith it seems. And there is a reason for this.
The figures just do not stack up if you actually examine them.

The climate may well be changing.

But I'm not persuaded that the climate which might be changing, is changing for the reasons given by the Green Party.

I wish the Irish electorate would wake up and recall what these Green Party clowns did to our country when they were in government the last time.

It's astonishing that this very obvious and blatant truth seems to go over the heads of so many people.

The climate IS changing. It always has been.
But it's just not mankind's activity that is the main driving factor in these changes.
For example, Ireland's entire contribution barely even registers in the error noise of the global figure
if you are considering the impact of CO2 warming. But our political class would make sweeping changes
to all our lives on the basis of activities whose actual effect on the climate is not even measurable.

The entire figure of residual CO2 from ALL sources that remains is just 0.04% of the entire atmosphere.
That includes all CO2 released worldwide from every source. All the forest fires, volcanoes, termites worldwide,
and from all the huge countries like China, US, Korea etc.

By comparison, water vapour is also a greenhouse gas and constitutes up to 4% of the atmosphere (100 times more than CO2)
Strangely nobody talks about the evil water vapour we are all producing.

The real issue concerning the Planet ,Is the contamination of water worldwide. Pollutants entering the water table every day. Pestitides and Nuclear waste being dumped at sea . The curse of Plastics, and yet not one politician making a stand on these issues. Islands of Plastic the size of Ireland floating in the Pacific ,But not a word from the UN , We are killing our Planet ,yet the Greenies are silent . The Religious are silent , Everyone is silent , The contamination is like a virus spreading silently .

It's even worse than that. Some are the size of Texas apparently.

But tackling those very real issues you mention would mean corporations would have to pay up and greatly change their ways.
Wheras the whole CO2 scam creates new markets and profits for them, since we all have to buy new cars and new stuff
and meanwhile these corporates have to change fuck all about their current polluting production processes.

Also it allows governments to slap on a bunch of new "carbon" taxes on the serfs and
create new authoritarian powers for themselves.

David Attenborough is on TV every fucking time you switch it on
but did you ever wonder what happened to well known TV personality,
botanist, environmentalist, university lecturer and OBE David Bellamy?
Have a watch.

Bellamy became persona non grata, because of his "outspoken" views.
