To be honest I just don't trust the media at all here, they worse than the one in the UK. There are loads of ways that the ROI is in general superior to the one in the UK but the mainstream media isn't one of them which actually saying something.

British snowflake broadcasters are far more at ease. They run the media institutions unchallenged and they know it. They have regal confidence in the bias they convey. This is most prominent in BBC Radio 4. So they are relaxed enough to make some room for Pete Hitchens and Farage and not pester them too much.

That's not really Irish broadcasting. Irish broadcasts tend to be antagonised by counter-Catholic dogma which posits that the "Iona Institute" is involved in an active and ongoing conspiracy to restore duh Catholic Church to power. So they are in a constant state of frenzy at this prospect making their commentary feverish and outlandish. They're permanently insecure and embattled and have none of the relaxed confidence of their British counterparts.
