Murder is it? Child abuse is it? Christians is it?

The event was uplifting in a cultural sense, showed great tolerance, support and empathy. A bit like loving the Hallelujah Chorus or Bach’s Requiem one can appreciate it without attributing it to a non existent higher power.
Anyway it was a fine day for multi cultural Ireland here’s hoping there’s many more like it.

Slàn agus beannacht.

PS The Sabra and Shatila massacre was the killing of between 460 and 3,500 civilians, mostly Palestinians and Lebanese Shiites, by a militia close to the Kataeb Party, a predominantly Christian Lebanese right-wing party, in the Sabra neighborhood and the adjacent Shatila refugee camp in Beirut, Lebanon.

There's nothing multicultural about a traditional Islamic ritual on a national hurling pitch.

I don't think you understand just how similar Christians are to Muslims, though I would not down play our differences, two of my closest friends are Muslims, to you I basically live on another planet but they can not only respect but also understand my take on things, and also agree with most of it. Islam is the closest Religion to Christianity. If you are going to hate Christians you will also hate Muslims if you come across as most of them actually are. If you have a hard time dealing with indigenous Southern Irish Christians than you would have a harder time dealing with the vast majority of Muslims.

This is great to get Catholicism back in vogue. A mob flying six coloured rainbows one day preceded by a medievil ritual to Allah the previous day. Hopefully this will appease the journalists and they will stop ripping the Catholic Church apart in their sitcoms. Highly unlikely.

Where are all the pious and hardline militant Catholics of the board today?

Certainly not at Croke Park - and clearly not on here either. You know - the same mouth almighty types who can put an angel on the head of a pin and make it dance? The sorts who can blather on about the relative merits of Ratzinger compared to Bergogliolioliolio and their claims to legitimacy, not to mention the ones who delude themselves about the importance of Rabbinic Jewry to Irish culture, the endless surmising on the thoughts of Thomas Aquinas and Plato regarding angels, clouds, stars and tabernacles?
The Field Marshmallow and the rubber spoon of St.Silly are shining examples of academic Catholics.
In fairness to St.Silly she does know her stuff extremely well and not a pub philosopher.

Marshy, on the other hand would take exception if the Mass plonk was purchased from Lidl and not Aldi, and be the first to spot the difference. But championing a former Hilter Youth member over the current "corrupted" one isnt cause for alarm on the ol brain radar.
Detailing is very important in order to gain access to a Catholic heaven.
