Terrific scene, shows that we Irish are way beyond narrow minded Nationalism in the main. Delighted and uplifted by the event.

Scrote, you claimed throughout the other channel to be an atheist. You're now claiming to be uplifted by a religious event.

Sinn Fein supporting Celtic fans bashing the Catholicism and defending Islam, bringing up child sexual abuse, like Liam Adams and the Celtic Boys' Club never existed, and that three year old girl wasn't raped in a mosque. Those bastards love Muslims more than Ireland.

That lad is a Fianna Fáiler and a solicitor that helps immigrants apply for residency and citizenship and stop deportations.

Loads of liberals gloating in the tweets underneath, bashing Catholicism and praising Islam.
This is a link to an article this guy wrote on broadsheet.ie on June with a comments section that is now closed.

According to The Times, his firm was criticised in Court relating to an immigration case, writing

'The firm of a solicitor who stood for Fianna Fail in the recent local elections has been criticised in a High Court immigration case involving a suspected sham marriage.

IK & Co, a legal firm set up by Imran Khurshid, who is originally from Pakistan and failed to get elected for Dublin’s north inner city ward in May, has been criticised by the judge David Keane over its actions in a case involving the deportation of a Pakistani man.'

Unfortunately the article is behind a paywall.

Not mutually exclusive for starters, and Islam - as with Roman Catholicism and Mormonism and Quakerism - is more than just religious- it has social and cultural dimensions

Scrote the avowed atheist is uplifted and delighted by a religious ceremony called Eid.
Eid is a religious event.
A Pious Muslim also would hold the likes of Socratus O'Pericles in contempt for much the same reasons as I would- what is interesting is that it is pretty obvious that he holds the same interpretation of this event as "Counter-Jihad" types do, namely a rubbing the face in the dirt of indigenous Christians, only unlike them he holds this to be a good thing.

Eid is a religious event.
Religious events are based on crowd emotions which can of course be shared by those not sharing the religion. I don’t accept the Abrahamic religions but still find aspects of those religions uplifting - for example a months mind mass I was at last year.
