But you are saying Ireland's leading Catholic prelates were not reporting to the Vatican and that the dealings of some cock sucking Protestant paedo in Peru and the Congo is central to understanding Vatican thought.
Stop inventing what I say and fuck off.

The Irish soldiers told Casement to fock off!!!:ROFLMAO:

( I don't know where Tone got his '56 men' )

As regards Papal advice or edicts - I always say that Catholic Ireland should have respected the Pope's
Laudabiliter - which endorsed the Norman Invasion, and King John as Lord of Ireland.:)
Well 56;Irish soldiers didn’t.
The provenance of Laudabiliter is suspect.
Either way it proves the point that Irish Catholics were deemed spiritual canon fodder by the Vatican in their efforts to make England catholic again.
Efforts indeed that went as far back as the Battle of the Boyle when the then pope supported William of Orange.

You are talking nonsense and trying to undermine the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Your language is straight out of the sewer. You know nothing about Catholicism. Stop defaming my religion with your foul mouth and go practice your own.

The history of the CC is a history of nobles and famillies jockeying for power AND the history of believers and devout.

I like what the new pope is saying though....

You have a tongue like a sewer. Why do you have to use profane language? I am not spreading pornography, as you call it. Roger Casemnt sucked off cock and was proud of it and of being spit roasted, which disgfusted the Brits and Collins, who never doubted what a pervert Casement was. You want the Catholic Church to kneel in front of him.

It is quite clear the Vatican was only concerned with diluting the prospect of a successful Irish war of independence.
The driving force of Vatican policy was that catholic Ireland must remain part of the Uk because all those Irish Catholics would be somewhat instrumental in the return of England to the catholic fold.

Political independence for Ireland would diminish that objective .
Hence the popes priest sought to manipulate the oath of allegiance these POW Irish soldiers had taken and tell them it was their duty to abide by it.
Very clever and it obviously worked as out of some 1500 Irish POWs in one camp in Germany only 56 joined Casements Irish brigade.

The moral issue is could they change their allegiance to the Irish insurrection and it is my view that indeed they could given the changed circumstances where a majority of Irish people wanted the English gone.
None of which contradicts the assertion that the Vatican were concerned about the spread of Bolshevism.
