That is correct. All our beloved broadcasting titans are paid through a shell company of which they are the sole director. That company then enters into a contract with RTE. The superstar then takes his/her salary from their company. They are not RTE employees. PAYE jobs are for little people.Afaik, they're all self-employed, which should give RTE huge latitude when it comes to setting fees.
The fact that there's so much being paid for contracts that should be up for regular review and open to competition should make the license payers wonder at the degree of insider dealing that goes on.
It's a mechanism by which they pay little to no tax on their income.
They are laughing at you, and then laughing at you some more.
It's the contemporary idolatry of fornication in disguise as a building programme. All you get rammed down your throat is couples, couples, couples. What are they doing in those gaffs anyway except fucking around on their phone huddled in a corner like the rest of the world? It’s more of rubbing normal people’s noses in it. We get programs about home improvements too during recessions for instance, with posh people getting their 5 and 6 bed houses done up for nothing, but the prices of the work into tens and tens of thousands rolled out at normal. At the same time Turkey Murphy overseeing an ever increasing housing crisis.
Those Bannon extensions are horrific and will look so dated very quickly. Why anyone would want a monument in their back garden to the most toxic cultural era in history is a mystery.
