The Tories have lately started calling themselves the “Unionist Conservative Party”.
They’ll never let NI go, because they’ll lose Scotland too.
And vice versa.
Best hope is an election and Corby being next PM.
And even if that far stretch happens it’s far from certain he’d let NI go either. He might well allow another Scottish referendum though, which could crack it open.

Loyalists still well armed, ominous.
As ogma put it "Without the Brit security services to hold their hand they won't be up to much. They will kill the odd lone Catholic." The criminal gangs of Dublin and Limerick would be more capable than those clowns without the Brits. Threaten to pull funding on community projects run the loyalists, the Ulster Scots 'language', loyalist marching bands etc and that will change their tune quickly.

The Tory's have let unionism go under the bus last night matey ;) Tory's let thousands of unionists go in the 26 counties too in 1922 when expediency called for it.
