The OPer must be disappointed that the only violence was from feral republican youth petrol bombing the police for the 3rd night in a row, perhaps he'll start a fred on that...

You think multicult /BAME London gives a fig about Prods in the North?
King Billy was the king of slavery but only he got 24 hr police protection for his statues.

All Churchill himself got was being boarded up (belatedly). Why the hierarchy of protection?

For 300 years the UK State has encouraged and defended the cult of King Billy no matter what it does.

Despite warnings from even the DUP and the Orange Order over the dangers of such large gatherings at present, bonfires commentating the victory of King William III at the Battle of the Boyne will be going ahead. The King also known as William of Orange, or King Billy and his victory at the Boyne forms a major part of Northern Loyalist culture. The Battle of the Boyne was of course a disaster for Irish Catholics with the introduction of the Penal Laws which for the next century and a half seen Catholic rituals and practices outlawed across the land.

One can only hope areas of the North including Belfast and Derry don't explode into violence tonight because from what it looks like from here, it's certainly close to doing just that.

It's interesting the way it boasts of Billy's multiculturalism credentials in the message at the bottom of the mural.

The Dutch Prince's battle won by a Danish in Ireland against his British opponent in an ultimate contest against the power of the king of France.

So pet what have ye to say now, given that the only violence was from the CNR community...

A Protestant man who was taking his son shopping in north Belfast on the Twelfth feels “lucky to be alive” after being attacked by a gang of youths in what he believes was an act of sectarian “hatefulness”.

violence in North Belfast area over the weekend, when police were repeatedly attacked with petrol bombs and stones over several nights. A range of media outlets reported that petrol bomb attacks on police on Saturday came from the nearby nationalist New Lodge area.

Hate crime: ‘I am lucky to be alive’ says father attacked by gang in North Belfast on Twelfth while shopping with son

Petrol bombs and stones were thrown at police around the North Queen Street area on Saturday in a second night of trouble.

The trouble involved nationalist youths and marked a continuation of violence from Friday night.
