This is not the first time I have come across real life stories of care patients terrified of African care workers. I can’t share info but I have heard some bad stories.
We probably only hear about a fraction of what goes on.

I'd say care homes do their best to cover things up because if word got out that a rape happened in their facility their business would take a massive hit if not go to the wall.

Still no name on the care home?
People should know this basic information. Maybe next time they hire, they will be more careful in their recruitment.
The old saying You pay peanuts, you get monkeys holds true for care home employees.

I wonder are there posh care homes for the rich ?

I can't imagine the likes of Tony O'Reilly and rest of the elite staying in a care home that had such low standards.

Interestingly, the Journal currently have an article on an Irish - by which I mean genuinely Irish - rapist. Obviously the man is a terrible man and all that but what is interesting is that the comment section is open.

As far as I am aware the two cases are identical from a media-coverage perspective, in the two, the sentence was passed and the defendant imprisoned. Why then is the comment section open for the rapist Brian Byrne and closed for the rapist Emmanuel Adeniji?

Phillipinos are not nice people, they are nice to your face because it suits them, but by god you let them get I to a position where they can bully you by sheer force of numbers and you will know all about it.
Thry only care about money and status, if thry cared about people there are far more in their own country more in need of their care. Thry obstruct good practise by people who are more qualified than them because they are jealous of them. And thry dont cate how it sffect the patient.
Yet the media crows on about foreign health workers basically saying, with some degree of truth I concur that they are holding up the Health Service, perhaps, but, they have undercut the wages of those who worked in that sector, we are somehow meant to be grateful that our Health Service is staffed by a menagerie of people from the developing world caring for our sick and old, because they are good natured sweet people, some may indeed be, however they are here for the money and conditions, not to work for the betterment of the Irish people, a similar point could be made about the Irish Health Care workers currently working in Dubai or Saudi Arabia, there is only one reason they are there and its money.
I dont have a problem with the idea of Health workers coming here to get experience for a few years, I think any Health service will benefit from having a lot of its members with international experience, from this we can draw up what best practice is, it is however immoral to poach the best workers from the developing world and give them residency/citizenship and kudos based on their employment when their own country needs them back at some stage.

I wonder was there a racial motive to the attack ?

Nobody finds old women attractive.
There is a kind of pervert that would rape anything.

There is also a subclass of pervert that specialises in attacking old people though he is usually young (early 20s or late teens).

In the case of this criminal i hope he ends up working in the kitchen and the guard pops out for a smoke and there are some hard cases around with elderly mothers they miss and lots of pots of boiling water around.
