Opposition leader Micheal Martin has accused Britons of "backward-looking nationalism" over their decision to pull out of the EU.

Calling for an urgent national plan in Dublin to deal with the "slow-motion crash", the Fianna Fail leader has also demanded the EU suspend normal state aid rules for worst-hit Irish industries.

"We are not going to join the English in their desire to repeal the 20th century," he said.

"We will not join them in their right-wing ideology of trade rules with no social dimension and no enforceable laws."

Just who do we vote for in the coming General Election, Fine Gael, Fianna Fail, Sinn Fein, Social Democrats, Greens, all traitors to the Irish.

Michael Martin - sovereignty is 'backward idea'

Just for a laugh, look at this young Pro EU fan Leo.

Varadkar - I'd be a Federalist on european issues

How could he keep a straight face saying this!!
He's been happily supporting the most right wing neoliberal party in the state
with his "confidence and supply" bullshit.

And the EU is increasingly corporate and neoliberal in it's behaviour.
Corporate lobbyists run the place FFS

MM is a globalist and the fact that ff td's made him leader, just shows how low the party has sunk they are an embarrassment to previous great patriots of ff, who may have been corrupt but they were still nationalists at heart.

McGuinness or O'Cuiv should have ran against mm, if nothing else but to show the party still had some principles, it is so obvious that mm and varadkar are quite happy to play one foot in, one foot out at the expense of the Irish people. Shame on ff.

Meehole has and always will be a careerist, opportunist spinner,, a bullsh1tter, fairweather chancer,,

Nothing this clown has ever said has impressed anyone,, EVER !! ,,

Meehole was in Government when the third world bogus asylum scammers starting flooding in after 98,, he did fooking nothing, indeed he
was a rubbish minister for health 2000 - 2004 when the bogus asylum scams were at their height and I actually remember masters of hospitals
coming on the radio and calling for an emergency to be called , especially in maternity hospitals as the numbers arriving pregnant with anchor babies was overwhelming the hospitals,,

Meehole DID FOOKING NOTHING ,,, a traitorous little bullsh1tter,, I turn him off anytime he is on the telly,, I don't believe in listening to traitors,,

This is the partitionist Mehole Martin, the same goon who was a senior minister in the three successive FFail governments who brought the IMF to our shores.
And foolish paddies think he's a nationalist...lol..

I think FF are doing all they can not to get a majority in the next Dail. The powers that be want the current system to continue, the two largest parties in a sort of coalition/opposition single party government. Which is what we have. There will be a slight rejigging of who gets what brief based on how well they towed the line, nobody is a minister for anything based on merit, ministers make no decision on anything, its plain the likes of Harris couldn't run a chip van yet he gets a ministers role, Zappone an infertile Lesbian as a minister for children.
The problem is with the people, voting in them shits again and again.
