Aborted foetuses have been used in black magic back as far as we can know possibly know and one of the things that witches, sorceresses, what ever word you want to use would offer as services to their clients was abortions. That said while a lot more dark occultism, witchcraft, whatever word you want to use goes on than Irish Catholics and secularized types would like to believe- Evangelical Prods have a strong tendency to massively over estimate the amount of it in existence and see it when it isn't there at all.

Considering the huge increase in calls to Rome for exorcists lately, I tend to agree with you. Even people that screw with ouija boards and tarot cards for shits and giggles are tempting fate. Or worse.

And it seems some here would like to keep that
as the ONLY way to get one in Ireland at least! :p

By the way, the Freemasons Lodge Tourist Initiative received 14,000 Objections at €50 each.
Members of our Gov. would use it for 'Rituals' out of Hours, at our expense...........costing €19,000,000.
That Site, & No Other...would do.
It's above Pagan Worship Neolithic tombs/caves dating back 4500-2000 BC.

however, I cant verify if the Author is the same Katherine Zappone nor can I find any reviews anywhere on the book.
It certainly sounds like she is the author of the book, according to a review here.

From the review:
"The author, a lecturer in theology in Trinity College, Dublin and Seattle University is also a Director of the Shanty Educational Project in Tallaght"

"Describing herself as a Christian Feminist for whom the sacred stories of Jesus and 'those who combine His vision with their own' are relevant."

Something that I have noticed to that two of the most obsessed Repealers on Politics.ie, Emily Davison and petaljam, have since their victory given themselves signatures talking about witches.
