It's now under 3 weeks to Christmas. Are you looking forward to Christmas Day?

I am personally. Great food and having all the family together.

I wouldn't agree with that. Political forums have the potential to reach out to a lot more people than one-on-one conversations.

Fuckin hate it,

Expensive commercialised bollox

Only good thing is time with loved ones
True. I like the home side of it with the food, trees with lights, decorations, been with family.

The whole having to go to crowded shopping centres and all of the advertising is a load of shit.

I like Christmas.
The shopping is just part of the atmosphere.

The Irish Winter would be bleak indeed without it.

God has given us Christmas to celebrate the birth of His Son.
Antipope francis bitches about people spending too much.

[T here. I knew I,d get him in somehow just for yourself}

If you are not doing the Baby Jesus, you are not doing Christmas, simple as that.

It is advent now, this means my choir is very busy learning all the chant and hymns for the season. Christmas is a massive liturgical event and I spend a lot of time in and around the Church. I am lucky to have a sound family, and this aspect is great but, not necessarily anything to do with Christmas itself. I will be singing the Midnight Mass for the first time this year. The Latin Mass of course.

The commercial aspect of Winterfest is easily ignored. I do not watch telly during this period either. Hardly ever in fact. I am untouched by the materialistic culture these days.
