Not a chance. Not with people like Eoin O'Broin running the show. That's why it is an opportunity for the smaller Nationalist parties. As John McGuirk said last night, there's 10-15-20% of the electorate who are being ignored by all the major parties. Its an open door for SF and nationalists parties.
The COVID bill is going to be huge and we haven't even finished with the Pandemic yet. Now we have 3 political parties, 1 new Taoiseach informing us how it's going to be.
Once the costs start being seen in the real economy it's going to be hard to justify a new cycle path costing millions when families can't even afford the cost of electricity or heating oil because of Green Taxes. Its a shit show and it will punish the most vulnerable. Meanwhile, Asylum seekers will be moved out of Direct Provision into swanky newly built homes.
SF and the Nationalist parties have a fantastic opportunity to win over the country as there will be nobody else to turn too.
SF just needs to drop the GAY, Immigrant Agenda otherwise they will just be a nodding dog from the opposition benches.
But the marriage of FFG-Greens means those Hate Speech Laws just got a whole lot closer.
But I agree, the Covid crisis may mean that the Green's Middle Class agenda may have to be canned.
