Most ordinary Southern Irish people have "Classical Liberal" attitudes to Free Speech in general, though you do have a significant amount of people with those attitudes in general but not towards pornography, I don't have these attitudes I must be honest but not only do I not trust the current Ruling Elite to carry out censorship but I'm convinced anything they would do in this regards would be harmful to the common good.

Once they have the 8 th gone I strongly feel in my waters that the next part of their project will be to bring in mainland UK "hate speech" Laws which would get a couple of posters on here I like into serious problems no doubt as well as bring in German style laws against "holocaust revisionism".

What do other people think on this issue?

Yes, the free state régime is proud of its status as a Globalist poster boy and will do anything to please its Globalist masters.
But do you think they will start with mainland UK "hate speech" laws and making certain historical discussions illegal next?

Northern Ireland doesn't have mainland UK laws around "hate speech" because the DUP has blocked them but if you think about it Nordies would be breaking them all the time on both sides of the "Peace Wall" so that they would be unenforceable.

For sure a chara. I'm sure the régime here is dying to get those "hate speech" laws. They are the perfect weapon for an illegitimate statlet to block any effective criticism.

After discovering how Leinster House sneaked through a bill making a lad legally a lass if he declares himself so even without the surgery I have begun to sympathize more with your First Dail Legitimism. I hope we are both wrong on this but we will see how things play out.

We're not wrong a chara. The régime here wants to be seen as the most open for business, least regulated, most immigrant friendly, most homo loving, off shore money laundering depot and tax haven.

It's in their "to do list" here for sure. To protect the children too no doubt!
Some in government have been trying to implement internet censorship already. To fight "fake news" that is actually the truth that exposes them as the useless lying sell outs they are.
They have taken a master class in deception by omission from the EU elites and can somehow pass what they like without referendum because of some agreement.
I remember some priest in Ireland was prosecuted for "hate speech" but won the case. I'd be pretty certain they'll have everything nicely tidied up so they can't lose when they bring the next person to court for it so they can then pass it into law.

To me it's patently obvious and as clear as day that this is what's happening.
Loads of articles in print/online media and radio discussions in the last two weeks about 'protecting children from online abuse' 'revenge porn' etc.
The lead up is happening right now as we speak and I believe legislation is being proposed by Brendan Howlin at this moment.
As always in Ireland nefarious intentions are dressed up as matters of public safety/concern
