You know an increasing number of particularly Ethiopian but also the "Brown" Jews go awol from IDF service in order to do jobs because their families really need them to otherwise they will go very hungry? Something like one in fifteen people gets caught doing this during IDF service. Hopefully the current Ethiopian intifada in Palestine will lead to more lasting transformation than the "Israeli Black Panther" rebellions did in the mid to late 60s.
Sad fantasist....

"There in the middle of their haters and their cheerleaders are the Israelis, just trying to be a country like any other,
rather than a symbol of good or evil.

They’re doing pretty well; just over 70 years since the ancient homeland of the Jews was reclaimed, they are already
the 10th oldest uninterrupted democracy in the world. This is a country where army generals run as
centrist candidates, rather than plan coups and revolutions.

13th Happiest Country, 10th Healthiest Country, 7th Best Place to be Gay, 3rd Most Educated – and, of course,
the number one “Start-Up Nation”.":)

Beautiful! A Druze folk music group was representing Israel in Macedonia.
They competed against 33 other countries and won first place.

The Red Sea Diving Resort was a popular diving holiday spot in the 1980's on Sudan's Red Sea coast.

But behind the holiday-making was something much more critical: A Mossad rescue operation to save Ethiopian Jews.

The little-known story is now being featured in a Netflix film for the world to know.(y)

The Druze really creepy me out on so many levels.

Anyways do you have any views on Bruria Keren? I find her fascinating. She is definitely the most interesting living Palestinian Jewess.
