Why were brother and son set against each other? Because of the North. Never mind that the Free state as it was was beyond our wildest dreams 10 years before. Union Jacks going down, tricolours going up. Good start if ever iv'e seen one. Step by step we'll get there.

How much effort did anti-treaty Dev and Fianna Faíl put into reunification?

None.

Too busy filling their bank accounts and letting paedophiles abuse our children.

This week saw the anniversary of the death of Sean Tracey. He might well have made a fine leader of the Irregulars, since he apparently had a low opinion of Collins.
Speculation....
Sean's best friend Dan Breen thought the World of Michael, there is nothing to say that Sean didn't likewise.

That lacks logic.
If my best friend admires someone, I also do?
And that's assuming Breen liked Collins.
Any evidence?
My reference to Treacey was something I read somewhere.
I am not standing over it, or recanting it.

Lots of IRA didn't think much of Collins, by the way.

Yes but generally those who don't like fighting like giving orders. And it may be hindsight but Dev would never have gained the mastery of Ireland he did if Mick had lived. And he would have been well aware of that.

The major issue of contention was the North. How many Fianna Fail governments made any effort to reuinte us?

Pack of Chancers. Not like they're not still around. Shooting Mick is just the old equivalent of destroying the Nation through mass immigration
So in 1922 Dr Valera was able to see ten years into the future, to coming to power in 1932 with a party that didn't exist in 1922?

Are you nuts?

Scumbag Dan Breen supported the Nazis during ( and after ) World War 2.

You appear to be unfamiliar with the concept of long term planning.

Why am I not suprised?

Does Breen not say on a youtube video ( I am not going looking for it now anyway ) that he considered the likes of Michael Collins ~ ~ Gods for lifting the British Yoke from upon them.

Let's be honest, most of the world can't see beyond the end of their nose and their next meal.
