IRISH-ETHIOPIAN ACTOR RUTH Negga is set to star in a new production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet in Dublin’s Gate Theatre.

Negga will play the title role in the upcoming production, which is directed by Yaël Farber.

Ruth Negga to play Hamlet in new Gate Theatre production

When did the Irish become Irish -Ethiopians? You are either Irish or Ethiopian.

So Hamlet in case anyone was wondering was the story of a Danish Prince, in and around the 1600's. A tragic story wrote by Shakespear. considered to be one of his most powerful works. Today what better way to portray that story than giving the lead title not only to a woman but a black woman. History accuracy clearly is not the goal here but liberal political correctness.

Because of this new found love for liberal political correctness, I look forward in anticipation to Dublin's Gate THeartres production of 12 years a slave, the story of an African American man who was kidnapped in Washington, D.C. by two conmen in 1841 and sold into slavery. Naturally, in the spirit of political correctness and fairness this play will be played by a white Irish Man or woman, Or we could go full hog and find an Irish -British Man or Woman.

Surely we have plenty of saints in Direct Provision who could appropriately fill all roles in White culture.

Do we not have 30,000 not-illegals who can easily and brilliantly cement their right to be here by showing us what culture is all about.

The mind boggles at such narrow-mindedness.

The Arena Show on RTÉ Radio 1 discussed this two days ago. Here is what Graham McLaren, Director of the Abbey Theatre had to say:

"...what I'm suggesting to you all is the 'us' is now slightly different. Just look around you. Look at the school gates and what 'us' is now is not the freckled, ginger-headed 'us' that we once were and that's got to be good."

Ruth Negga to play Hamlet — "We're just beginning to nurture an ethnic tradition"
