Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly will ask the Cabinet to approve an agreement with doctors and pharmacists to administer Covid-19 vaccines.

The agreement would see a payment of €60 for each patient vaccinated made to members of the Irish Medical Organisation and the Irish Pharmacy Union.

This would cover two injections for each member of the public vaccinated.

The agreement would see the Government allocate €91m for the vaccines to be administered to approximately 1.5 million people, with the State meeting the cost of the deal.

It is intended to run for a six-month period before being subject to a review.

Should we forgive them for being so unaware of the depths of their own stupidity?

Kind of hard to make a reply bar the GPs want their slice of the cake.
And they're going to be facilitated.
Most expensive vaccines jabs in europe?

30 euro to administer one small jab? It's a great little country.

Next thing they will be asking not to be sued if by administrating this vaccine they cause more harm than good. With the sort of money they are earning they will surely be able to pay out the compensation to the victims. Expect any medic who is participating in this nixer to try to wriggle out of their legal obligations in the likely event of adverse reactions.
Remember the medical oath you swore. DO NO HARM!

€60 is very excessive .......... Are we paying for the vaccine or are we paying for their time (all 60 seconds of it.)

A pharmacist could retire after this

Population of approx 5 million x60 = €300,000,000
The administration is the sucker punch!

Not to mention that they believe we need annual vaccinations.
