A GARDA INVESTIGATION has been launched after a Fine Gael TD’s constituency office was daubed in anti-abortion graffiti overnight.

The attack on Tony McLoughlin’s Sligo office came after abortion legislation passed in the Seanad yesterday, paving the way for the legalisation of the termination of pregnancies in Ireland.

Staff at McLoughlin’s office arrived to work this morning find the exterior of the building covered in anti-abortion slogans, including “scumbags”, “Fine Gael killers”, and “Herod’s killers”, as well as urine and faeces.

Speaking to TheJournal.ie, McLoughlin hit out at those responsible and called on them to respect the passing of May’s landmark referendum to repeal the 8th Amendment.

“It’s very very disappointing to see it,” he said. “People had their say and there was a referendum. The people have spoken and you have to respect that.”

McLoughlin also commended gardaí for their response to the incident, while a garda spokeswoman confirmed investigations into the incident were ongoing.

“Gardai are investigating criminal damage to an office on John Street, Sligo that is believed to have happened overnight [on] Friday 14 December 2018,” a statement said.

“No arrests have been made and investigations are on going.”

Not sure if this has been posted already although the first i've heard of it. It's a pity this didn't happen to someone more high profile.

He didn't vote for it.
Over 66% of the participating electorate did.

Vandalising a TD's office based on them upholding the wishes and demands of the majority is childish and counter-productive.

Childish and counter productive yes.
The current legislation isn’t what a majority of “yes” voters voted for. The terms were not presented to the people before the vote or it would have failed.
This is about money.

This new baby killing policy is a coup. The regime wanted, schemed for it, imposed itself on the public and they got the job done.

One big qualification to that is sentiment for it did come from a new voting constituency that were coming on stream. A constituency raised as they were by the landfill media and the idiot-box. Who'd have thunk it, eh? The information age has amplified the confusion in the minds of many.

It's pretty clear that you are a rather vocal voice in this "many" to whom you are referring to. Irony, sheer irony!

What really needs to happen is for the Catholic Church to refuse Holy Communion to these baby murdering catholic TDS because even though they are excommunicated no doubt many of them will pollute local Catholic Churches on Christmas Day.
By their silence, some Catholic bishops are giving implicit approval.

In any case, the damage was done when they failed to put a finger in the dam of the Mater Hospital and Archbishop Martin's weasly stalling tactics.
