Former-spy warns Ireland 'soft touch' for so-called Islamic State

Former al-Qaeda member says this country is a 'fertile ground' for recruiting new jihadis

Aimen Dean, a former bomb-maker and al-Qaeda recruiter, who in 2007 personally pledged allegiance to Osama bin Laden, insists that Ireland offers Isil-like terror groups "ample opportunities".

He was an early member of the al-Qaeda terrorist organisation - but he changed sides in 1998 and became a spy for Britain's security and intelligence services, MI5 and MI6.

Speaking to the Sunday Independent, he stressed it is common knowledge among Jihadists that Ireland can be a "safe haven" for terrorists.

"It is a country which has no central intelligence service of its own; it depends on foreign intelligence to anticipate threats."

what did people expect? You let mass Islamic immigration into the country... you are going to get the cutting edge of the Islamic movement. Not that their NGO enablers give a damn, they are on a pretty penny to facilitate their passage into the country and browbeat the population to accept them as "diversity".

Of course it can't. The Gardaí have little or no information coming from the Muslim community here. That's why the free state has had to allow MI5 to officially set up in Dublin and take over surveillance of Jihadists here. And given the long collusion between the British secret services and Islamic terror, I hate to think what may happen when MI5 get de facto control over the Islamic terrorists here.
