We waste so much energy on American politics at the cost of delaying the fixing of our own Country.
We’re always fascinated by American politics. They speak English And We pay for an RTE reporter to feed us back propaganda reports. Theres never a dull moment.
But maybe we are missing the real story? Maybe this is the strategy to have us always looking away from the solution?
Take Poland for instance. Their government is about to launch a new law to fine social media millions per incident if they censor any post that does not break Polish law.
Then we have Hungary. They have a 99% asylum rejection rate. They have very low abortion rates and higher than usual marriage rates. They also see marriage as a union between a man and a woman in their recent constitutional change.
Hungary before the current government had a radical socialist one In place that truly went nuts.
Both Poland and Hungary were former communist controlled countries.
Maybe its time to investigate how they took back control whilst still remaining in the EU.
Of course we also have the U.K. to the East

A spiritual awakening is needed.

Just one minor example of the Irish mindset vs the Scandinavian mindset.
In Ireland you get shafted if you need a PCR test to travel. Trying to book an appointment is a nightmare, you get passed from pillar to post then finally get a book with makes you 200 euro lighter.
In Scandinavia, Finland particularly, you get a free test at the airport. If you need a further one, you can book until 10pm, no call diversions. The Test can be carried out on a Saturday and is also free.

Ireland needs serious swamp draining and overhaul.

As a yank, I say, you are absolutely right.
.The countries of Eastern Europe KNOW what Totalitarianism really is. They lived it, or had to live UNDER it..
They know the value of Personal Freedoms, and how hard it is to get them back, once you lose them.
They have an ethnic and .and National cohesion. Their Countries are their HOMELANDS, which is what Ireland used to be, before it fell to the tidal wave of un-necessary "White- guilt'.
I think the more vibrant Catholic Faith of Poland anyway,.....helps unify and strengthen them. As opposed to the galloping Secularism and consumerism which plagues the West.
The loss of the Irish language was Detrimental as well, I think. It such a unifying and strengthening component for an ethnic group .
You see the size of the U.S.....and you see the tensions and problems. We have.
If you"re copying us, with you're multi-culting agenda...You're going down the wroooooog road. You are all aware of that, by now though, right ?
