It might explain why NEPHET started pushing for yet more misery, they don't like being called out so what better to prove they are the holy ones by upping the anti?
Makes me think if there was a god, it wouldn't be the old, sick, and those who care for them, who are most at risk from this virus, who are the ones left gasping for air, struggling to breathe, at risk of dying, of long term health effects, no, the virus would instead target those say who spend their lives online agitating against others, promoting their selfish interests, pushing what they call "libertarianism", always propagating the latest stupidity, conspiracy and prejudice that they have found online. Tragic.

Why don't you just pop along along to a cancer ward some time and get some perspective on life.

Okay well you want to enter into a contest of shooting the messenger how about I shoot the author of your article.
You source is the architect of the policies of the leftist extremist who was overwhelmingly given the boot by the electorate 6 months ago.
In other words a totally discredited source.
Which was obvious enough from the article itself which for some unfathomable reason considers what some people thought about the Nazis 70 years ago is somehow relevant today.

In the summer of 2015 Richard was widely credited with being the author of ‘Corbynomics’, which was the economic programme on the basis of which Jeremy Corbyn became leader of the UK Labour Party.

You're talking about the same electorate that voted for Brexit, has regressed to nativist politics, succumbs to charismatic demagoguery, and more.

No doubt they were also fooled by so called "libertarians" who succeeded in demonising an economics that proposed four day working weeks, making large companies hand over 10% of their equity to their workers and more in the same vein.

Of course the UK electorate wouldn't know the first thing about whether it was sound economics or not.

Anything the UK electorate had to say on the matter had absolutely zero bearing on the soundness and viability of the new economic proposals that the labour party wanted to introduce.

Professor Richard Murphy is a very smart guy. No doubt he has an ideological position, just as everyone does.

What he has to say has plenty of truth in it.

So this bloke has ideological baggage which is identical to that which he is posting in his article but we are supposed to take what he says as impartial expert knowledge rather than as him pushing his favoured political agenda right?

So why on earth isn't the same true of this publication from AIER? Why this focus on messenger shooting in one case and not in the other?
Either we agree that the author of every information source we quote has to be verified as not having any skin in the game or else we desist from messenger shooting and instead debate the message.

Thanks for highlighting the declaration by the employed experts in Oxford, Stanford, and Harvard. Particularly moving was when the female Indian lecturer from Oxford but obviously of Indian descent showed that 130 million people will die because of the lockdown. That tuk tuk Taxi driver in Mumbai and his family will starve to death due to the lockdown and loss of their income. Remember this Roc when you are pontificating your hypocritical racist pseudo science. The mass protests on the streets of Thailand show how Covid measures has wrecked everything and will leave the poor much poorer. Across Africa the lockdown is causing more deaths than covid.
I've seen the 130m figure being quoted a few times on here but missed the original reference or source. Would you have a link?

Many thanks.
