Have you never heard of the Signs in windows of boarding houses and factories in the UK, OZ, and US and Canada,, No Irish need apply? Of the Irish forced to live on the streets of Liverpool, New York, and Glasgow because they /were despised. Learn your history. Your hatred and the hatred a lot of your types have for immigrants is well documented.
A lot of that No Irish need apply stuff has been wildly aggregated.

There was also alot of anti English racism in Australia in the 50 and 60s.

The Aussies called the Brits "Filthy Pommys".

But you don't hear much about that from the media.

Even if the No Irish need apply thing was real so what ? The natives/citizens should come first in any country.

The logic here seems to be because the Irish were treated badly in some countries lets throw open our borders and let the whole world come to Ireland.

The 60s and 70 s were good times for the Irish in the Building Game. The money was good. Ok, a lot of Irish Pissed it up against a wall but that was their choice. Some of these Irish fellas would not be all that reliable to pay rent either. They were living the High Life and rent was not always their priority. Like always these things are a lot more complex than we are told ! !

They never did call them filthy poms. Moaning Poms was the expression, as a lot of the immigrants came from the devastated areas of Britain and became union stirrers

If such a thing was suggested in England, could imagine your head boiling. Scum, like people with your attitude, deserves to be enslaved. You have the mentality of the Loyalist Orangeman.
Ireland and the UK have a bilateral, reciprocal agreement going back a century.
We have no agreement to take in people who arrive on the back of a lorry or fake passport.

That's exactly what the Irish famine emigrants were called when entering the US and Canada, So now the Irish are insulting immigrants in a similar fashion.

Show some compassion to those looking for a better life.
This whole the Irish went to America thing has really been weaponized against us, America is the next country west of here, Saint Brendan may have made it to America himself, certainly there are some signs the Irish were there pre-Columbus, look up the Duhare tribe of the Carolinas, either way, when mass Irish migration began particularly around the Famine we had already established a historical connection to America, Irishmen amongst others had fought in the Revolution, and Famine era America had a hunger of its own, for cheap labour and cannon fodder that the Irish supplied, conscripted off the boat to fight in the Civil War or to end up working like a slave as a navie on the railroads, even then America could be choosy sending Famine refugees back to certain death because they didnt meet health requirements for entry.
The Irish served their new country well, winning the highest amount of Medals of Honour out of all ethnic groups who served in the military.
Contrast that with asylum into Ireland, free house, free schooling, health care, social welfare, all of those are not just paid for by the present day taxpayer here and now, that is the end process of thousands of years of inter-generational progress, when the first people arrived here and began cultivating the land, slowly creating changes, this island didnt rise out of the sea fully formed with a welfare system to boot.
An illegal Irishman in America or Australia for that matter has more moral right to be there than an African or Pakistan illegal has to come to Ireland.

U.S citizens never paid a red cent extra in taxes to accommodate the Irish.
They fended for themselved.
The Irish in America did not receive free accomodation, free houses, meals, health care, education to post-graduate level, (without the normal qualifications being required for 3rd level),spending money or quotas in jobs just by uttering the magic words " i wish to claim asylum". They are even going to be given jobs in the Civil Service as a result of quotas. At EO level as well as they would not take lower jobs as they would lose out on their benefits with lower pay.

That is the exact opposite experience of the Irish emigrating to the US/UK. To compare is deliberatly to be disingeneous.
