I can only give an opinion and I know many will say there is no cause for alarm.

1) Trump is making sure Europe pays its way for security, not enough to tip it over, but a blow to it still. I understand Germany is still refusing to pay its share.
2) The German government is very socialist and far left which has failed throughout history.
3) Germany leads the way with green energy and green initiatives which do not work and are unsustainable.
4) Banking works on the credit system and that requires a conservative approach and an understanding of how money and credit works. Germany used to understand that, not any longer.
5) Only five things matters in Germany, --- climate change, ----climate change,----- climate change ---- climate change and lastly climate change.

The is no substance in the banks and the economy is in reverse as the greens want.

If anyone disagrees with me, tell me how an economy can be put in reverse and grow? That is the question

Deutsche calls time on global banking ambitions by cutting 18,000 jobs and setting up €74bn 'bad bank'

Deutsche Bank has effectively called time on its global banking ambitions after it unveiled a much more radical than expected overhaul on Sunday.

This will include setting up a "bad bank" stuffed with €74bn of toxic assets, closing down large units in its investment banking arm - including equities trading - and laying off about a fifth of its workforce.

Following a supervisory board meeting in Germany at the weekend, the troubled bank said the drastic measures were needed to battle falling revenues and rising costs. The overhaul is expected to cost around €8bn.

If Ireland is anything to go by, this is only the tip of the iceberg of their 'bad bank'.
Expect the end cost to be a multiple of this.

Germany is carrying the DB bag : even their system could not absorb DB.
Looks like Lehmans Brothers 2.0 first for the EU and then for the global economy. All the wonderful EUnuchs in Dail Eireann will be rushing to destroy Ireland in order to prove their credentials as good "europeans". And the Irish people will get f*cked over once again. It is hard not to be cynical with this stuff.
