Christianity, the only weapon against Marxism ideology.
That’s why we are hated by the Left.
It's becoming increasingly difficult to see the Church as a bulwark against Cultural Marxism ever since the special interests began to infiltrate the institution some years ago. We now have a Church which promotes globalism at the expense of the laity in European countries for instance.

The power and influence of God's church has peaked and waned over the centuries but you are right the church will be blown along whatever tide is the strongest, tragically and especially since the great Benedict XVI retired more so.

Francis would never make a speech like the Regensburg Lecture

Benedict XVI was a great church leader and was/ is just the kind of traditionalist that the Church solely needs in the current climate of pro-open borders hysteria, along with the issue of Bishops and Cardinals in open rebellion against the fundamental dogmas of the faith on matters such as abortion and LGBTQ marriage.

At times, Pope Francis comes across as the sort, that had he been at the Gates of Vienna, his approach would have been to open the city gates in the hope that a discussion with the enemy leaders would have resolved the issue there and then. It's not unreasonable for anybody to believe that he is a puppet put in place by those with an agenda against traditional Catholicism.

...Pope Francis comes across...
He should have gone into politics considering his penchant to meddle in such things. I don't recall Jesus getting all political. The Pope should stay out of politics and stick to spreading the word of Jesus.
