Seem to be going in the opposite direction in some places at least in the US.
Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot is firmly dedicated to ending “mass incarceration” so much so, in fact, that the Democrat is going to let many criminal offenders back onto the streets.

Creuzot announced on Thursday that his office will be letting criminals off the hook if they commit offenses such as low-level drug possession, theft, and criminal trespass. Law enforcement will be more focused on promoting social justice than protecting property rights under Creuzot’s plan.
Whatever about the drugs possession, the idea of letting criminal trespass and petty thieves go free, as in those that rob 750 or less, seems like a really really bad idea, but it is being pushed as moving away from criminalizing poverty.

Dallas County will move away from “criminalizing poverty,” District Attorney John Creuzot announced Thursday, outlining a reform plan to decriminalize low-level crimes and decrease the use of excessive probation and bail.

I do think the war on drugs should be stopped because it has been a complete failure however crimes such as mugging are a whole other issue, A thing though is that all the rap music encourages sociopathy and when people see it promoted on MTV, etc well that lends it legitimacy. There was an "Old Labour" slogan back when the British Labour Party still were capable of wanting to do things like ban psycho comic books that said "Tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime".

Devon Stack aka Black Pilled, one of the best channels out there, sat through episode one of the Good Fight, (so we don't have to) and critiques it. To say it promotes violence is an understatement.
