Rap is vile. Public Enemy were the only Rap group to have any sticking power with me but the degenerate clown Flava Flav showed they were as manufactured as any in the new school phase and I couldn't care less at this stage. But the pushing of Grime by the mainstream - Glastonbury/Longitude being celebrations of this filth - really pisses me off. White kids having racist, violent garbage that tells them they are the problem shoved down their ears and all the while they lap it up. Apparently Stormzy has a video where he is harassed by a white gang as he strolls around London. Yeah - thats the real problem with London these days - white thugs

You know Bragg got his break in the music industry because John Peel fancied a mushroom biryani one evening and said so on air. Bragg legged it round his local indian then up to Radio house and blagged his way in curry in one hand, demo tape in the other. The middle class, public school boy, child violator that Peel was couldn't resist Blaggs working class bravado and gave his a session there and then. We live with the fallout from JP's peckishness to this day

I used to love Johnny Marr even more that Morrissey but I came to the conclusion long ago that Marr is a coward and sellout in the Bragg mode except one with true talent which makes it all the more painful. Watching this Oxford Union address - from the sly dig at Morrissey near the start but particularly the final exchange with the gay american wanker at the end - confirmed to me what a piece of shit Marr really is

Morrissey is a great man. Public figures with his level of integrity and talent are really hard to find these days. In ways I cherish him now more than ever. His latest album of covers - Californian Son - is really good and he has a new original album in the can ready for release.

Rap is a primitive screech celebrating degeneracy but most of all selfishness, the perfect sundtrack to our extinction, it consists of a vile, ignorant, ugly and violent proto human boasting of his dominace to the tune of a snare drum.
The chorus to a new and eternal dark age, in every way, one that Humanity will never leave, once Whites are gone.

I will show my age. I have a lot of affection for the music of the 1980s. Outstanding black singers like Lionel Ritchie, Roberta Flack, the late Whitney Houston and Teddy Pendergrass etc etc.

Wonderful melodies, artistically crafted orchestrations, powerful voices....
Someone tell me-what happened to that strand of Afro-American music ?

Some of those greats came out of the Black church singing tradition. Could that be a factor--today's blacks have no longer any links with the Gospel tradition of their forefathers?

As Owen Benjamin points out Black music used to come from black communities, black producers and black record labels. Rap is produced and rap record labels are own by people of a different persuasion with no skin in black communities. Never mind the break from gospel which is huge. There inspiration is just materialistic shit

Billy fooking talentless Bragg ?? another champagne socialist virtue signaler ? they must all have the same agent ,

Rap is utter rubbish, a form of communication that takes the least talent and ability to convey, just shouting to sampled sounds ?
it's like the Khardashians of music , all noise, targeted at morons too lazy to open their minds to actual music,

It has gotten to the point that if anyone offers a REALISTIC view of where Europe is heading with this crazy open borders plan
the dregs of the left are rolled out onto the leftist fake news ,,

Caught a couple of minutes of the RTE News at six this evening,, (no choice in a friends house)

1) GAY marriage in the North (the Gay agenda covered)
2) 60 years "celebration" of women / Ban Garda ? loads of feminist binty crap thrown in as "news",, = Fake News
3) Lesbian footballer in the US spewing utter inane nonsense in New york (the lesbian agenda covered)

NONE of this crap is actually NEWS ? it is just LYING FAKE NEWS spreading a radical leftist agenda disguised as News ,,

That is the most realistic post i have seen on Political Irish .. Its my manifesto .Well said. The only thing i would changes is..I would have said "Billy Fooking Talentless non entity crap with a capital C utterly useless ,should be put down Bragg"

I found Whitney painful to listen to ..Yes she was a great vocalist with immense talent, but her songs were so bloody depressing and the arrangements were like euro vision songs on steroids.

There are still great black singers in the gospel blus tradition ..its just that the idiots in charge are pushing a crap product instead, they have run the industry into the ground

WH was wonderful. My favourite was that song where she expressed the point of view of The Other Woman --'Saving all my love for you'...
How many times has the Other Woman had a chance to be heard ?
The Other Man for that matter !

Bragg is a miserable fucker. He even makes Morrissey look jovial.
He claims he stands for the working class when in fact he has been pulled out of his crypt, Mummy-like by the Establishment and given unending airtime like that queer Owen Jones
Charming!
