Was listening to 4FM earlier and a woman called in complaining about the state of the county in regards to hard-working young people desperately trying to save up for homes and the government handing out homes worth 450k to non-nationals.

It would seem that many on the social waiting list are being housed by a group called Respond.

Respond claim that they are
Ireland’s leading housing association. We seek to create a positive future for people by alleviating poverty and creating vibrant, socially integrated communities. We do this by providing access to education, childcare, community development programmes, housing and other supports.
About Us
Last December

Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government Eoghan Murphy TD officially opened the new Respond social housing development in Chanel Manor, Coolock, Dublin 5. Chanel Manor is now home to 16 families with 103 individuals including 69 children in their new homes for life. All 16 families were previously on the social housing waiting list for Dublin City Council.
A quick search of Daft or any other estate agencies will tell you these homes are worth over 450K.

Looking at the photos and various websites it would seem many of these homes are going to non-nationals.

A bigger worry is why the government with housing agencies are building such expensive homes in highly sort areas for people on the housing waiting list, to be on this list you have to normally be on the dole, thus whilst hard working people are trying to save up a deposit it would seem those on the dole or nonnationals are being given highly expensive homes for free!

Its not just this part of Dublin 5 either, earlier in the year more non-nationals were housed in luxury houses.

Sure, its a great country to not be Irish.

69 Kids from 16 families? Feckin hell. 4 per family.

That's over 14k in Child benefit per month or 161,000 per year.

Jesus, we are being taken for mugs, what is wrong with this country where people can walk in and take our homes and welfare without anyone in government saying what the fuck?

We are becoming America!
This is exactly how it looks to me.

America is the primary example of the modern state, being the most dominant country since ww2 and the british and irish have been aping them over time, as our own politics, culture, economic and moral systems, have been eroded/superseded by them.

He was shocked, he couldn't believe it he kept saying.

Even mentioned that the majority looked like foreign nationals.

I think you are missing the point a bit here folks.

The main problem is that instead of taking public responsibility for housing the population by getting cheap loans, negotiating bulk rates on building materials, employing teams of house builders on a standard industrial weekly wage then building loads of cost price houses and selling them on at cost to the people, the government instead gave over the housing market entirely to greedy for profit private enterprise and private rentiers

This has lead to a very high cost economy and homelessness.

The whole Coudenhove Kalergi "easily manageable low wage mulatto goo" plantation agenda being pushed on us from on high is just the icing on the cake here, but it certainly does add insult to injury

I agree fully a chara. However, such thoughts do seem to be above the heads of the average Irish person - due to our intentionally woeful un-educational system. These days Irish people have to see very clear pictures to understand anything - like Native Irish people dying on the freezing cold street while migrants are given 450 K homes for free.

Exactly, and the reasons can be very simple, they dont know any other way, what ever is the easiest thing to do is the default.

Handing everything away for someone else to manage on their behalf.
EU control and the giving away our currency and taking the euro is no different.
Even though this is the job they were put in office to do.

Same with Corporations, much easier for some lazy scumbag without a clue to deal with 10 multinationals then 100 irish businesses. 10 phone calls and his job is done.
