Two Arrested in Connection with Fatal Stabbing in Dublin
Two individuals have been arrested, one in Belfast and one in Dublin, in connection with the fatal stabbing of 34-year-old Quam Babatunde in Dublin over the weekend.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) detained a man in Belfast as he was about to board a ferry to Liverpool. Gardaí investigating the murder had collaborated with the PSNI, providing crucial information that led to the arrest.

In a separate operation, Gardaí carried out several searches in Dublin this morning, resulting in the arrest of a man in his 20s in Balbriggan. He is currently being held at Pearse Street Garda Station for questioning.

The incident occurred on South Anne Street in the early hours of Saturday morning. It is believed that a dispute between two groups of people who were out socializing escalated, culminating in the fatal stabbing.

Authorities were alerted shortly after 3 a.m. and found Mr. Babatunde unresponsive with severe injuries. Emergency services treated him at the scene before transferring him to St James's Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

A post-mortem examination has been completed, although Gardaí have declined to disclose the results for operational reasons.

Another man, in his 30s, sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the same incident and has since been discharged from the hospital.

Investigations are ongoing, with Gardaí appealing to anyone who was in the South Anne Street area at the time of the incident to come forward with information.
